About Us

Baker's Mercantile began a few years ago with my husband, Kenneth, and I showing the things we love at local craft fairs.  Our plans changed when we found it to be too labor intensive for a couple of old folks!  We love what we do and wanted to continue our retail therapy and opened a booth at Spring Creek Antiques and Tea Room in Ozark. We did well and decided to open up another location and that was the beginning of our booth in Relics Antique Mall located on Battlefield St. in Springfield.   Success continued and off we went to Ozark Treasures Antique Mall on Campbell Ave in Springfield.  Along the way, we were constantly asked by local shoppers and travelers alike if we had a website.  I had the intention, but with everything we were doing, I just didn't have time.  Recently the world changed and businesses across our country closed and we were all asked to stay at home.  Its time to turn lemons into lemonade and with time on my hands, our website was born.

Kenneth and I plan on continuing to provide a vintage, times gone by feel to our store and offer the customer service you've come to expect.  We're just going to do it in an electronic format.  Should you need something you've seen in our booth, but don't see it listed here, contact me and I can still ship it to you.  I will continue to add categories as time allows and will eventually offer a wide variety of items for you to enjoy.  We are starting with Frenchic, our paint line, JRV Stencils, and IOD Furniture Transfers.  I use these on a daily basis when refinishing furniture for each store location and Facebook Marketplace.  I've had many of you wanting these so you can paint at home with more time on your hands.

As our website grows, we'll offer Kenny's handmade bath and body products, Noteworthy hand made stationary, Home decor, and Beauty products.  We'll also list our furniture pieces that will be offered for pick up only.

We look forward to serving you while enjoying our passions of art, creativity and retail therapy.
